NASA / MAGNIX
ELECTRIFIED POWERTRAIN FLIGHT DEMONSTRATOR (EPFD)
2022 – ACTIVE
NASA and magniX have partnered with AeroTEC to engineer, modify and test the Dash-7 Electrified Powertrain Flight Demonstrator (EPDF) with the goal to show that hybrid propulsion can offer significant fuel savings and reduce emissions.
- The EPFD program will produce a flying test bed to allow industry to advance knowledge of aerospace electric powertrain systems
- AeroTEC are acting as aircraft level integrators, ensuring:
- The aircraft is safe to fly and operate for the intended mission life.
- That all program objectives are met by gathering appropriate data.
- Safe and efficient integration of the electric powertrain components into the existing airframe.
